I've always believed photographs become more meaningful as time goes by.

Growing up, our home was filled with family portraits, and I never realized at the time how much they would shape me. They weren't just pictures on the wall-they were reminders of the people we loved, the memories we'd shared, and the moments that made our family who we are. Looking back, I think that's where my love for printed artwork really began.

When my first daughter was born, I wanted to remember everything.

Once a month, I photographed her to capture how much she had changed. I did the same with my youngest daughter because I couldn't believe how quickly those little moments passed by. Before I knew it, I was photographing friends and family, and what started as a way to preserve my own memories grew into a passion for helping other families preserve theirs.

Over the years, I've invested in photography, editing, web design and business education to continue growing as an artist and to create an experience where my clients feel comfortable, cared for, and excited about their portraits.

Because the truth is, most people don't walk into a photo session feeling like a professional model-and that's completely okay. (I would probably feel awkward in front of the camera too!) You don't need to know how to pose or worry about what to do with your hands. That's my job. I'll guide you, encourage you, and most likely make you laugh along the way.

Then life gave me a new perspective.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer, I learned a year later that I carry a rare hereditary cancer gene called Li-Fraumeni Syndrome. It's the same condition that has affected several members of my family, including my youngest daughter. I've also lost loved ones, including my sister, because of it.

Going through those experiences reminded me just how quickly life can change.

It made me appreciate the everyday moments even more-the hugs, the laughter, the little personalities, the silly things your kids do, and the bond you share with the people and pets you love most. Those are the moments that matter. Those are the moments worth remembering.

That's why I care so much about what I do.

Whether I'm photographing your newborn, your growing family, your children, your pets, or creating branding portraits for your business, my goal is always the same: to create images that feel genuine, timeless, and completely you.

I want you to walk away with more than beautiful photographs. I want you to have artwork that brings you right back to this chapter of your life every time you see it.

I truly believe your portraits deserve more than living on a phone or being forgotten on a hard drive. They deserve to be printed, displayed, and enjoyed every day. That's why I personally help my clients choose their favourite images and design artwork that becomes part of their home and their family's story for years to come.

I still get excited before every session because I know I'm not just taking photographs-I'm preserving memories that will become more meaningful with every passing year. I still get excited when finished artwork arrives because seeing a family's reaction never gets old.

It truly is an honour when families trust me with their memories, and I never take that responsibility lightly.

My hope is that years from now, when you walk past your portraits or sit down with your family to look through your album, you're reminded not only of how everyone looked, but of the love you shared, the laughter you had, and how beautiful this chapter of your life really was.

Because one day, these won't just be photographs.

They'll be part of your family's story.

โค๏ธ My daughters are my greatest inspiration.
I have two daughters who have always been my muses. They are the reason I fell in love with documenting the little moments and capturing how quickly life changes. So many of my earliest photographs were of them, and they continue to inspire my creativity every single day.

๐Ÿพ Animals will always find me.
I have always had a soft spot for animals, and somehow I seem to attract the ones who need a little extra help. I've rescued turtles and snakes off the road, helped little critters who needed saving, and I truly believe every animal deserves kindness and care. Animals (and honestly, most things in life) make me smile.

I currently share my home with two Bernedoodles and three cats, which keeps life interesting and my house full of personality. I would happily bring home more animals if my husband would let me-but he knows me well enough to occasionally remind me that we might already have reached our limit. ๐Ÿ˜‰

๐Ÿ’ Family is everything to me.
I've been married since 2013 to my wonderful husband, who is a nerdy IT guy, gamer, and proud beard owner. He keeps me laughing, supports my creative ideas, and helps bring balance when I come home excited about my next project (or another animal I think needs saving).

๐ŸŒฟ I love creating with my hands.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll often find me gardening or giving old furniture a new life through refinishing and distressing. I love finding beauty in things that others might overlook-which is probably one of the reasons I love photography so much too.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ I am a serious treasure hunter.
I love thrifting and finding unique pieces with character and history. I also have an extensive collection of rocks, fossils, and crystals proudly displayed throughout my home. Each piece is so different, and I love thinking about the history behind them and appreciating how something so naturally created can be completely unique.

๐Ÿ˜‚ I am a little awkward... and that's okay.
Meeting new people can make me nervous too! I know what it's like to walk into a new experience feeling unsure, so I always do my best to make my clients feel comfortable, relaxed, and completely themselves. You don't need to know how to pose or worry about being "good" in front of the camera-that's my job.

๐ŸŽจ Creativity has always been a huge part of my life.
Before photography, I was a singer and songwriter. I even had two record deals when I was younger! Although life took me down a different path, storytelling has always been something I've loved, whether through music, photography, or creating beautiful things.

๐Ÿ’ป I might have a slight obsession with websites.
I genuinely love website design and can happily spend hours updating, tweaking, and perfecting my website. I know... maybe not everyone's idea of fun, but I love the creative side of making everything look and feel just right. My perfectionist side definitely comes out here!

โ˜• I may have a slight coffee obsession.
A good coffee makes almost any day better. It fuels my editing days, website tweaking sessions, creative ideas, and probably a few late-night projects when inspiration hits. My husband would probably say I don't just enjoy coffee... I have a bit of a relationship with it. ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ’ฌ I love a good conversation.
My favourite part of photography is getting to know people. I love hearing your stories, learning what makes your family unique, and creating an experience where you feel like you can truly be yourself.

๐Ÿ“ธ I still get excited every time I create something new.
Whether it's photographing a family, designing artwork, or seeing a finished piece arrive, I never want to lose that feeling of excitement. Creating things that matter is something I will always love.

๐Ÿก My home is filled with the people and pets I love.
I believe in what I offer my clients because I do it in my own life too. My walls are filled with photographs of my family and pets because those everyday reminders of the people I love are some of my favourite things.

At the end of the day, I'm just someone who loves people, animals, creativity, and finding beauty in the little moments and unexpected places that often pass by too quickly.
