In an in person consultation at your home, my studio or at a coffee shop, we will figure out what specific images you are hoping we capture. Such as different groupings or even images with the family fur babies! 

I will show you the different artwork options and we can discuss all the investment details during this appointment. No surprises here! Only the best experience, resulting in beautiful wall portraits for your home or your extended families homes! You will then sign a model release and pay the session fee so that you are officially in my calendar. 

I supply everything for your newborn session, so one less thing off your plate! I am here to help every step of the way! I highly recommend parents and siblings wear neutrals without heavy patterns, plaid or stripes. That way any colour we use for baby's session will match your outfit choices.

2. planning your session

Within a couple days of babes arrival, please send me an email or give me a call and we can move your session to fit within the first 2 weeks of birth. This is the ideal window to get those curled up and sleepy shots I know you will love! Or if you are after images of baby wrapped up in props, then we can schedule you in up to 8 weeks after birth. Your newborn session will be scheduled between Monday and Friday between 10am-2pm.

I offer a wide range of props and colours, wrapped up in props and images using a soft backdrop. We will discuss exactly what portraits and colours you are after in the consultation appointment.

3. ask me Anything

Yay! It's your session day! You will arrive at my studio. We will start with baby all wrapped up in props and then add in family and then different soft backdrops for babe using the colour scheme we picked out. :)

Be prepared for a warm and cozy environment. This is essential to make baby comfy, happy and sleepy. I may at some point ask Mom or Dad for assistance for a certain image as the safety of your newborn is my top priority. Sometimes it's best if Dad takes the kids out for a treat after they finish any portraits they are in.

It is completely normal for multiple feedings and diaper changes to happen during your newborn session and there is no such thing as a "good" baby. We will run on your babies schedule and patience is a must.

4. session day!

This is the part you have been waiting for!

Within 2 weeks of your session, we will sit down at the studio or in the comfort of your own home for your ordering appointment, where we will look at the best of the best from your session in a beautiful made for you slideshow. I will then walk you through the portrait selection process. Choosing your favs and removing the images you can live without.

Now It's time to see them in an heirloom album or proudly displayed on the walls of your home!

As an added bonus, I even deliver and install your wall art!
